Carson Scholars

This national scholarship initiative provides college scholarships to local students selected in middle school for their academic abilities and character, given they complete school and meet certain criteria. We helped draw attention to this scholarship funding initiative, acknowledged donors who made sizable gifts and celebrated student achievement through a series of events. A Southwest Florida couple got it started with a donation enabling 15 Lee County middle schools to select recipients. A luncheon for current and prospective donors resulted in four additional donations toward endowments, while a second luncheon honored teachers and scholarship designees from each Lee County middle school for the first year.
