The Forest Country Club Completes Clubhouse Makeover
(Fort Myers, FLA –March 5, 2013) – The clubhouse at the Forest Country Club in South Fort Myers received a makeover recently. Completed just in time for the 2013 season, the renovation of the 45,000-sqare-foot building features updated furnishings with a fresh, coastal look. Spaces have also been improved for functional flexibility and energy-efficiency.
“Our clubhouse wasn’t in need of a total overhaul, but the architectural tweaks and updated furnishings have made a world of difference.” said Scott Bertrand, General Manager of the Forest Country Club. “We can now seat up to 300 in our main dining room and our pre-function area has been opened up to accommodate larger groups of members and guests for weddings, parties and meetings.”
Lauren McGarvey of Noller Design Group oversaw the project, working with a core group of members including design committee chair Lorraine Guile. “We freshened up the spaces with light and bright colors including carpet, paint, fabric and furniture,” said Guile. “Brighter, energy-efficient LED lighting has given the club an uplifting feel.”
Better views of the surrounding golf courses are reflected in the freshened décor. While the courses have long been the club’s gems, the renovation of the interior has resulted in improved experience with the outdoors, according to Guile.
“The clubhouse makeover is just part of our ongoing effort to update and enhance the amenities at our club based on the feedback from our members,” said Bertand. “We recently added a 1,500 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center and renovated our eighteen-hole Bear course .“

Program is designed to allow individuals to enjoy full golf privileges with a reduction of annual dues

Designed for a single golfer, or golfer whose spouse does not play golf, the Membership allows an individual to enjoy full golf privileges with a reduction of annual golf dues. Residency in The Forest is not required.
